Calculates federal tax liabilities from individual data under different policy scenarios

Tax-Cruncher accepts two sets of parameters: 1) an individual's information necessary for computing federal tax liabilities and 2) the provisions of the federal tax code. The former set of parameters and their documentation is based on NBER's TAXSIM Version 27 and the latter uses Tax-Calculator policy inputs. Tax-Cruncher leverages Tax-Calculator, an open-source microsimulation model of federal individual income and payroll tax law, for its calculations. If you choose not to specify your own tax policy, Tax-Cruncher will analyze your data under current law.
